TEAM BUILDING WITH REACH PROFILES

Improving Teamwork with a Team Building Workshop

Four blue hands forming a square shape, representing teamwork or collaboration.

There’s always a lot of movement, laughter, reflection and aha moments.

It all begins with a common language and recognising our differences and strengths.

To work with synergy means to maximise each person’s contribution by learning how to communicate more effectively, and then by understanding, and maximising everyone’s strengths. Synergy is built upon trust, respect, purpose and a common language.

Lay the foundations with a common language and shared understanding

To improve openness, trust and collaboration in teams there is no more effective or faster way to achieve that, than through a Team Synergy Session that includes debriefing REACH Profiles.

These sessions are frequently run as part of a broader conference, off-site or annual planning day, they work equally well as a stand-alone team building initiative.

Sessions that see immediate results run as 90-minute, 3 hour or full-day workshops. Let us know your timing preference, and we can deliver a powerful and effective session. We can easily accommodate groups in-person, online or hybrid from 5 people to 100 people.

The sessions always include a lot of movement, laughter, reflection and aha moments. Depending on your audience and duration and goals, we change positioning, context and customise activities and modules to ensure it lands well, and you get the outcomes you are seeking.

What you can expect

Here’s how we ensure every session delivers clarity, connection, and meaningful outcomes.

  • An expert, seasoned, certified, charismatic facilitator.

  • Prior to the session every attendee completes their REACH self-assessment which takes about 10-minutes using a mobile-friendly survey.

  • The session will vary significantly based on the duration and audience, the elements in common to this style of session are Introduction, Me, We, The Opportunity, see below.

Introducing REACH

“Me”

a quick journey of self discovery

We introduce the REACH framework, and take people on a journey of self-discovery where they gain clarity on their personality style, communication preferences, their current REACH (agility) and their strengths.

Everyone learns that there is no better or worse personality style - more that we all have strengths in different contexts.

Individual Reports

Once we understand the framework and the opportunity, we transition to focus on individual reports. And start to develop awareness around the room of other people’s reports and styles. We gain greater understanding of our colleagues personality and communication styles and preferences. And then thinking through the impact for personal relationships, customers, our leaders or direct reports.

Finally, recognising the opportunity for better, more productive relationships, by understanding the impact of learning to improve our ability and awareness to flex.

It has four sections labeled 'Counselor' (green), 'Coach' (blue), 'Advisor' (yellow), and 'Driver' (red). Arrows indicate a progression from 'Your Profile' on the left to a 'REACH Zone' circled at the bottom left, with an upward and rightward arrow showing movement within the chart.

The sections include Counselor (green), Coach (blue), Advisor (yellow), and Driver (red). There are numbered points and labels indicating the profile characteristics, along with notes about the distribution and approach tendencies of nine people.

“The Opportunity”

Improve communication.
Leverage Strengths.

Building upon this, we transition our focus to people’s different strengths. People discuss the importance of recognising their own strengths, the strengths of others, and purposefully creating opportunities to ensure everyone plays to their strengths to maximise their contribution.

A bar chart titled "REACH Skills" categorizes and rates counseling, coaching, driving, and advising characteristics for achieving goals. Goals are rated on a scale of 0 to 5, with the chart showing the average ratings for each characteristic in four categories of difficulty: more challenging, moderate, more comfortable, and very comfortable.

“We”

Team Reports and Visualisers

Building upon the self-awareness, understanding of others, and different strengths and preferences, people next develop awareness of the improved outcomes they can achieve by being more aware and mindful in the way they both give and receive communication.
